Introducing the Barnabas Blog
This new blog is aimed at leaders within the Diocese. Lay leaders, ordained leaders, Focal Ministers, Oversight Ministers, youth leaders, children’s leaders.

As a Diocese we are called to grow a sustainable network of Christ-like, lively and diverse Christian communities in every place which are effective in making disciples and in seeking to transform our society and God’s world.
Our ministry strategy for fulfilling this vision is linked to four areas of work:
- Making disciples who are Lights for Christ
- Growing and planting new congregations and starting new things
- Releasing lay leaders in their churches and communities as Focal Ministers
- Enabling children and young people to be at the heart of our lively Christian communities, enabling them to make disciples too
Each month, we’ll take a topic – for example prayer – and we’ll look at that topic through four different lenses, in four different blog posts – Lights for Christ, New Congregations, Lay Leadership, and Children, Young People & Families. Feel free to read the ones which are most relevant to your area of ministry.
We will also provide links to other resources and events to help you to grow in your leadership.
The Barnabas Blog is distributed in our regular ebulletin, so if you already receive this then there is no need to do anything.
