Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) Induction 

For Parish Safeguarding Officers who are new to the role, those who have not completed an induction or those who would like a refresher. Train the Trainer

For those who would like to deliver training in their Parish or support the Diocese as a voluntary support trainer. This course is delivered online on Zoom and the following dates are available: Please complete the form below to reserve a place or contact the Safeguarding Training Team safeguarding@sheffield.anglican.org  

  • From January 2026 the Train the Trainer Course will be delivered on demand. Please contact the Safeguarding Training Team safeguarding@sheffield.anglican.org  if you require this training.

Monthly Parish Safeguarding Officer Drop in Sessions


An opportunity for Parish Safeguarding Officers to connect, ask questions, and share experiences.

These are informal sessions — simply an opportunity to:

  • Connect with fellow Parish Safeguarding Officers and the Diocesan Safeguarding Team.
  • Raise general queries and ask for advice.
  • Share your views on what topics or support you’d like in future sessions.
