Each deanery will have a day with Bishop Pete or Bishop Sophie this year between July and November. The aim is to have a series of evangelistic events or activities, spread through each deanery.
How should you approach this? Firstly, pray; for wisdom to know how to best use this day and for faith to plan boldly. Then create a programme in partnership with your Area Dean, and John Hibberd, who has been asked to support deaneries. This will need to be coordinated across the deanery. Events need to be well advertised within and beyond the churches, and communicated to the bishop’s team in good time. Don’t forget to plan for what happens after the day; the follow-up to events like this is every bit as important as the events themselves.
