Following the successful Wear Your Faith Fortnight collaboration between Lights for Christ and Arise Sheffield

A multibank helping to meet the needs of people in the Diocese of Sheffield says it’s anticipating a significant increase in demand this Christmas.

St James Norton is helping to reduce isolation in the local community by opening its doors for conversation and fellowship.

The latest meeting of the Diocesan Synod took place at Christ Church Darnall.

The group takes place weekly on Monday mornings at St Helen’s church hall. Whilst the children are busy playing, carers can enjoy a coffee and a chat with the volunteers from the church.

It’s hoped links can be strengthened between the church and the Children’s Society, with the safeguarding of young people prioritised moving forwards.

The local community in Hillsborough and the surrounding areas is being invited to come together for a good cause at St John’s Owlerton.

Clergy and lay people in the T1 Mission Area are coming together to mark the development of a new way of doing ministry.

Four members of the clergy in the Diocese of Sheffield have been invited to become members of the College of Canons at Sheffield Cathedral, and there is excitement among the appointees about what their roles will entail moving forward.

The first two of our new series of Mission Incubators have been a great hit with participants, with an enthusiasm for starting new things building in the Diocese.
