Children and Families Minister – St Nicholas, Bradfield

Employed locally by the parish working in partnership with the Centenary Project an initiative of the Diocese of Sheffield

We are looking for a Children and Families Minister who is a committed Christian and who will develop, co-ordinate, and grow the work with children and their families in the life of the church and community.

We are part of a national church-funded revitalisation project which looks to invest in contexts with potential. The funding we have secured is until June 2031 and includes support for a Children and Families Minister, an Administrator and funds for better resourcing the church building.

This is a 20 hour per week fixed-term contract until June 2031 with the potential of a renewed contract.

  • 20 Hours per week (flexible terms of working such as term time only can be considered)
  • Starting Salary £14,571 (£25,500 FTE)

General responsibilities: –

  1. To produce, develop and oversee a programme for the work of the church with children and families.
  2. To build a team that, in line with our church vision, can model a healthy, thriving, sustainable children’s ministry.
  3. To pioneer new initiatives and effective ways of connecting with local families in the wider community.
  4. To be part of the Centenary Project Network, an initiative of the Diocese of Sheffield.
