Children and Youth

Hosted by the Centenary Project, Diocese of Sheffield and youth workers across South Yorkshire from the 21-23 June 2024.

A Celebration Service has been held at Rotherham Minster to mark all that’s been achieved over the last eight years.

The Family Works are delighted to have been awarded £250,000 over three years for growth across the South Yorkshire region by Benefact Trust. 

A new small group session is encouraging young people in Goole to explore faith and to ask questions about the nature of God.

The group takes place weekly on Monday mornings at St Helen’s church hall. Whilst the children are busy playing, carers can enjoy a coffee and a chat with the volunteers from the church.

It’s hoped links can be strengthened between the church and the Children’s Society, with the safeguarding of young people prioritised moving forwards.

Porter Croft School in Sheffield is helping to lead the way in bringing together a diverse range of people to its ‘Faith and Fun for Families’ sessions.
