This is an exciting opportunity for young people aged between 10 and 18 to learn more about speaking and preaching. It’s open to young people aged 10-18 who are interested in leadership and would like to learn more about speaking and preaching.
The workshop is being lead by Revd. Amy Hole, Vicar of Heeley Parish Church. It will be held at Sheffield Cathedral, and will run from 10am-3pm on Saturday 13th June, with pastries and lunch included.
During the workshop, we’ll look at how to write a talk from a passage in the Bible and how to present and speak in front of a group of people. This session isn’t just for those who want to preach in church or youth group – we’ll also be learning public speaking skills and speech-writing skills, so it would be great for young people who are interested in public speaking, or for young people who might want to lead or help lead a Bible study in youth group, Christian Union or somewhere else.
Youth leaders are welcome to accompany young people to this session, but young people can also attend without a youth leader.
