Assistant Lights for Christ Enabler

Do you have a passion for supporting discipleship, encouraging lay leaders, and helping Christian communities grow in confidence as they live out their faith? Are you motivated to help people develop a Personal Rule of Life and shine as Lights for Christ in their daily lives? 

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Lights for Christ Enabler to join our Resourcing Mission and Ministry (RMM) team. This role will support the ongoing development and delivery of the Lights for Christ strategy, working closely with the Communications and Learning team. Working alongside the Lights for Christ Enabler, you will help Oversight Ministers and key lay leaders introduce Lights for Christ and the Personal Rule of Life across their Mission Areas. The Assistant Lights for Christ Enabler will also help create helpful resources, support the diocesan prayer community, and deliver workshops and training in parishes, schools and deaneries. This is a collaborative and people-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys encouraging others and helping them grow in everyday faith. 

  • Part-Time, 21 hours per week 
  • Working Pattern – Tuesday to Thursday (negotiable) 
  • Salary £29,500 – £31,500 FTE (£17,700 – £18,900 Pro-rata) depending on experience 
  • 10% employer contribution to pension 
  • Generous Holiday Entitlement 
  • Based at Diocesan Church House in Rotherham
