Services of Commemoration for Her Late Majesty

Doncaster Minster

Saturday 17 September  – 6pm

All are invited to attend this service. People to be seated in the Minster by 5.45pm on Saturday.
Dress: Those with uniforms are invited to wear them otherwise dress as for a funeral. 

The service will be live streamed on the Doncaster Minster Facebook page for those unable to attend.

Rotherham Minster

Saturday 17 September – 6pm

All are invited to a service of Commemoration for Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in Rotherham Minster on Saturday 17th September 2022, at 6pm. The service will be followed by light refreshments.

Please be aware that seating will be first come first served but standing room will be available.

Sheffield Cathedral

Sunday 18 September – 6pm

His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire together with the Dean and Chapter of Sheffield Cathedral invite everyone to this service of commemoration and thanksgiving for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
 
Sung by the Cathedral Choir, this service will pay tribute to the life of Queen Elizabeth II. Seats are limited and there will be no reserved seating. Please arrive in good time.
 
The service will also be shown on a big screen on the Cathedral forecourt and live streamed on the Sheffield Cathedral YouTube channel.

Screening the Funeral

The BBC are allowing churches, and other community buildings, to broadcast the funeral (and other live ceremonial events during the national period of mourning) without a TV licence.

Sheffield Cathedral will be among the churches showing the funeral on screens inside and outside the Cathedral. All welcome. The Cathedral doors will open from 08.30 with morning prayer at 08.45.
