The 2025 Petertide Ordinations in the Diocese of Sheffield will take place at Sheffield Cathedral during the first weekend in July.
On Saturday 5 July the Bishop of Sheffield, the Rt Revd Dr Pete Wilcox, will ordain 16 priests at 4pm. On Sunday 6 July the Bishop of Sheffield will ordain 7 deacons at 10.30am. The Revd Richard White will preach at both services.
Revd Dr Dan Christian, Diocesan Director of Ordinands, said:
“We are delighted to be celebrating with those called to be ordained to the diaconate and priesthood this Summer. It has been a privilege to journey with each person as they have listened and responded to the call of Jesus, which began when he said to each one of them, ‘follow me’. Please do be praying for each candidate that they would be sustained in their ministry by the grace and love of Christ.”
