The Archbishop of York, The Most Revd and Rt Hon Stephen Cottrell, will be visiting the Diocese on Saturday 9 May 2026 for a variety of youth events and pilgrimage walks.
Pilgrimage Prayer Walk Litter Pick and Brunch

The Doncaster Youth Hub welcomes the Archbishop of York, meeting at the Hatfield M18 Services and doing a litter pick prayer walk to St Lawrence Church, Hatfield, where we will share brunch together. For more details email hannah.robinson@centenaryproject.org.
Pilgrimage with the Archbishop of York

Start point: St Paul’s Wordsworth Avenue
Would you like to try a short pilgrimage? This one will be under 5 miles in total, starting at St Paul’s Wordsworth Avenue, walking via St Leonard’s Longley and Christ Church Pitsmoor. As well as some urban walking, there will be panoramic views over Sheffield. The Archbishop of York is joining us as part of a day of events in the diocese. The Sheffield Youth Hub welcomes the Archbishop of York, meeting outside Sheffield Cathedral for a small act of worship before doing a prayer walk to St Timothy’s Church, Crookes, for a Sheffield Youth Hub event. For more details email hannah.robinson@centenaryproject.org.
