Mutual Flourishing is the Church of England’s commitment to ensuring that people who hold differing theological convictions, particularly regarding the ordination of women, can live, minister, and flourish together within one Church.
At the residential gathering in November 2025, people from across the geographical and theological breadth of the Diocese of Sheffield came together to listen, reflect, and share their experiences of Mutual Flourishing. This term, that conversation is being taken into each deanery. These visits will offer opportunities to continue the listening, deepen understanding, and reflect together on what it means to flourish as the Body of Christ amid our differences.
Each visit includes time with the Deanery Chapter and an Open Event where all are welcome to attend. Please pray for each deanery as we meet together. Details of the timings and venues are listed below. If you have any questions, please get in touch with your Area Dean or AATE.
