An opportunity to gather at the end of Lent where Bishop Leah will preach and Bishop Pete will preside.
There will be a Renewal of Commitment to Ministry and also the Blessing of the Oils. After the service there will be an opportunity for prayer and laying on of hands for healing and also for anointing for ministry.
All clergy, readers and church army officers are encouraged to robe and process as a visible sign of our shared vocation to ministry. Clergy are asked to robe in cassock, surplice and white or gold stole (if that is your tradition – scarf if not). Readers are asked to robe in cassock, surplice, and scarf. Church Army Evangelists are invited to process in uniform. Those who hold other authorised ministries in the Diocese will also be able to renew their own commitment to the ministries to which God has called them. This year, the Bishop of Beverley will be presiding at an additional Chrism Mass at 12 noon on Monday 30 March at Priory Church of Our Lady & St Cuthbert, Worksop, to which members of the Hickleton Chapter are warmly invited and others are welcome to attend.
