Sometimes we are handicapped by our ignorance, prejudices and blind-spots; these tendencies can prevent us treating people fairly and showing God’s love equally to everyone.
This course is a short introduction to this important area of our lives. It helps us become more aware of how our thinking and feeling sometimes lets us down in these ways. As we become more alert and honest about this, we can learn strategies which help us make wiser choices about how we see and respond to other people.
The course is run by a lay and clergy team from within our diocese, who have received training from Dawn Lewinson, an expert in this field. It is being offered at different times and in various locations, both online and on-site. The course is offered free and is designed particularly to help clergy and PCC members.
The event will take place at St John’s Goole, in the Spire centre, across from the church.
Goole is just off the M62. Parking is limited on the road but parking on the church grounds may be possible (funeral dependant). Adjoining roads have parking restrictions but car parks are within 5 minute walking distance. There is also a 5 minute walk from the train station.
Please arrive at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am start.
