Ministry Experience Scheme (MES) Coordinator

The Ministry Experience Scheme (MES) has been running for 10 years in the Church of England and seeks to give a year of ministry experience for candidates aged 18 – 30.  In September 2024, the Diocese of Sheffield are revamping their scheme to offer a range of different experiences across the Diocese whilst candidates will live together in an MES House.  Whilst staying in the house, candidates will pray and worship together as they live in a community with one another. 

We are looking for an experienced Coordinator with administrative experience, excellent organisational abilities and good with IT.  You will be recruiting candidates, setting up their placements and managing the MES House. 

  • Part-time 17.5 hours per week
  • Salary £13,500 pro rata (£27,000 full time equivalent)
  • 10% employer contribution to pension
  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • Fixed term contract (until 2029)
