The Pyncombe Charity
26th January 2016
The Pyncombe Charity has a modest annual income specifically to give financial help to serving Church of England Clergy carrying the Bishop’s licence. Grants may be sought in times of difficulty due to illness, injury, or other special circumstances relating to themselves, or their immediate family resident with them, although education is specifically excluded.
The Trustees require each application to be made through the Diocesan Bishop because they need to know what support is being offered by the applicant’s own diocese. Any grants are then made through the Bishop, not directly to the applicant.
The annual meeting is in mid- May, but applications need to be with the secretary by April 15th so that information for Trustees can be thoroughly prepared.
