New Surveyor joins the Diocese
7th January 2019
The Diocese of Sheffield is delighted to welcome Michael Lindley as the new Diocesan Surveyor. Michael previously worked in the Leeds Diocese in the same role and prior to that, Ripon and Leeds Diocese. He has considerable experience of diocesan work covering parsonage and glebe portfolios. Michael started his new role on 10 December and is based at Church House, Rotherham. This timing allowed for invaluable handover to Michael from Fraser Andrews, who has done the role on a consultancy basis for many years.
Speaking in his first week Michael said:
“I have been made most welcome by everyone at Church House and am looking forward to getting out and about to meet with clergy and their families in due course and getting to know the Diocese better.”
Heidi Adcock, Diocesan Secretary, also wanted to pay tribute to Fraser Andrews as he leaves the diocese, his final day being 15 January. She said:
“We are most grateful to Fraser for all the work he has done for SDBF over several decades, and for all he continues to do for the Diocese. Significant ingoing works are currently underway in many Diocesan properties. We thank Fraser for all he has contributed as move into this new phase.”
