Doncaster Minster has been awarded a grant to repair its Schulze organ

Doncaster Minster is celebrating a grant of £37,500 to pay for repairs to its’ mighty Schulze organ over the next 5 years. The grant has come from The John Pilling Trust and the Minster is delighted to be able to get started on the next round of repairs to this internationally known musical instrument. The long term plan is for the holistic conservation/restoration of the organ, guaranteeing it will be able to be played for future generations www.nationalchurchestrust.org/pilling-trust
The Doncaster Minster organ is one of the UK’s most celebrated organs and is highly significant in the development of the instrument more widely - it has over 6,000 pipes!
