Making Sense of Prophets and Prophecy

During the second half of 2025, the Sunday lectionary provides encounters with a number of Old Testament prophets.  What are we to make of these intriguing characters?  How can we best make sense of the varied styles of the prophetic books and their powerful yet sometimes puzzling messages?  How can we convey their insights effectively to other people, especially when we preach or lead worship?
