Join us at The Minster Church of St George, Doncaster for an exciting workshop, exploring both the theory behind and practical application of changes both big and small which historic buildings can take on their sustainability journeys.
Led by Dr Robyn Pender with special guests including Dr Bill Bordass, the workshop will include a mixture of talks and activities, from building physics first principles to imagining sustainable futures. Whether you’re a conservation professional or a newly appointed church warden or volunteer building manager, the workshop will help identify the information needed to make informed, positive and successful decisions towards Net Zero.
From building physics first principles to imagining sustainable futures, talks and activities will explore:
• the metrics that matter – what to measure and why
• building blocks- how historic building materials behave
• heating effects – for comfort, for net zero
• practical paths towards sustainability
• putting people and planet first
