Brief Description of title post/s available:
Doncaster Minster is a busy town centre parish with a specific ministry of welcome and hospitality to all who visit Doncaster. The Minster is open daily for visitors and weekday services as well as for civic occasions, concerts, exhibitions and school visits. There is a strong leadership team at the Minster including some full time employed lay staff and some dedicated volunteers. The Minster Church is committed to welcoming all people, expressing the love of God and maintaining a lively, sustainable and attractive Christian presence at the heart of Doncaster.
The Minster offers a good environment for a curate to gain a wide range of experiences of church life and the responsibilities of ministry but with the support of an experienced training incumbent. The curate will benefit from a high standard of regular liturgy as well as many opportunities for less formal and more creative styles of worship. The curate will be involved in our mission and outreach with the nearby college, the business community and our many schools visits. There is also a major development and building project planned at the Minster and the curate will benefit from experiencing all that this involves. A curacy at Doncaster Minster will be an exciting and varied training post.

The Rivers Team
The Rivers Team in the Diocese of Sheffield offers an exciting opportunity for a curate to experience the breadth of team ministry. The team encompasses four churches and covers five communities with a joint population of over 25,000 parishioners. The team has a shared vision to be a Church that is alive and actively engaging in the community, where people are coming to faith, growing in discipleship, worshipping Jesus, supporting each other and serving God through the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit.
The Rivers Team curate will benefit from having an experienced training incumbent who will offer support and direction as he/she develops their ministry and leadership gifts. The curate will have the space to develop their own skills in parish ministry through preaching, leading worship and occasional offices and there will be plenty of scope to develop and lead specific areas of mission and ministry within the team. The growth of the parish also offers opportunities to explore pioneer ministry alongside our pioneer minister. We want to see all four existing churches grow and to make a positive impact for the Kingdom of God in our five communities.
