Special Service at Rotherham Minster - The International Day of Prayer for Autism & Asperger’s Syndrome

On Sunday 8 February Rotherham Minster is to hold its 6th annual service of Holy Communion for The International Day of Prayer for Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. The service is organised in conjunction with the Rotherham Branch of The National Autistic Society. The service begins at 10.30 am. Those attending include the Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham, the High Sheriff for South Yorkshire, Sarah Champion MP and Chief Supt. Harwin of South Yorkshire Police. There will also be present at the service both staff and service users from the Rotherham Branch of the National Autistic Society.
Canon David Bliss Vicar of Rotherham said “This service is an important event in the Minster calendar. I do hope many people will want to come and join us at the service as we think of those with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome and those who support them”.
