Could your community group or project make use of free surplus food from Tesco?
8th August 2017
FareShare FoodCloud is a new food surplus scheme which connects not for profit organisations and projects to their local Tesco store, to make weekly collections of free unsold food. The scheme is aimed at organisations which are working to support vulnerable people in the community.
FareShare currently redistributes surplus food to over 5,000 organisations like you, together serving over 21.9 million meals last year. We want to work with you on this new project to make an even bigger difference to vulnerable people across the UK.
FareShare and Tesco are holding an open evening on Thursday 17th of August at 7:00pm, at the Tesco Extra Store on Savile St, Spital Hill (S4 7UD). It’ll be chance to find out more about the scheme and ask any questions you have. You will also have the opportunity to sign up to receive free food donations from your local store(s) in Sheffield. Refreshments will be provided.
If you would like to attend, or would simply like some more information on the scheme, contact your FareShare representative Chloe Beale at 07508910658, or alternatively at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please RSVP to the event by Tuesday 15th of August.
