10th Anniversary of Worship4Today

9th May 2017

On Sunday 7th May, Worship Leaders from the Diocese gathered for one of their periodic Continuing Ministerial Education meetings. It was a special occasion because 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of the course by Rev Helen Bent and Liz Tipple. During the afternoon, Worship Leaders from a range of years read out testimonies about how the course had affected them as individuals and how it had affected their churches as a result. These testimonies will be posted on the W4T website.

Worship4Today has had 152 participants over the last 10 years, of whom 3 have become ordained and 6 have become Readers. There are 116 authorised Worship Leaders in the Diocese. The course is now run in 8 other dioceses, and in 5 other countries in 4 continents!

As part of the afternoon’s proceedings, 12 people were re-authorised to practise for a further 5 years as Worship Leaders in the Diocese.
