Mission Statement

To promote excellence in worship, because God deserves our very best.

Core Values

This is worship

  • which glorifies God and edifies the people;
  • which is Spirit-led;
  • which transforms through encounter with God;
  • which celebrates creation and holds the world before God;
  • which values and encourages different worship traditions and styles;
  • which values the gifts of others;
  • which inspires and draws in those who don't yet know God.

Aims

  • To encourage parishes in the Diocese to reach their full potential in worship, liturgy and music whilst recognising their churchmanships, traditions and styles.
  • To encourage and train clergy and laity to develop their understanding and practice of worship, liturgy and music.
  • To help resource and enable worship in parishes with limited resources.
  • To help resource 'inspiring worship' in relation to mission.
  • To work alongside others to provide music for a variety of parish, deanery or diocesan occasions.
