Garth Hewitt Concert

North Notts Chamber Choir

The North Notts Chmber Choir invite you to come and sing 'Faure's Requiem' and a selection of European Sacred Vocal Music on Saturday 26 May (from 10am) in Worksop College Chapel. The Conductor will be Timothy Uglow with accompanist Richard Leach leading a full day's workshop of choral music. Jubilee Weekend Celebrations

Harthill Methodist Chapel & All Hallows, Harthill both warmly invite you to a very special Big Jubilee weekend! Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 June - come along to the Harthill Methodist Chapel to see the Jubilee Exhibition! On the day of The Queen’s Jubilee, Sunday 3 June, there will be  Jubilee Songs of Praise 10.30am at Harthill Methodist Chapel followed by a Jubilee Big Lunch (Bring & Share Meal) 1-3pm at All Hallows Church on Church Lane (or in church if wet) with some great family fun activities. The day will end with a Jubilee Sung Eucharist  6pm at All Hallows Church. It promises to be a fabulous community event. Jubilee Party

St Mary's, Handsworth Jubilee Party on Monday 4 June. We are holding a giant picnic, free of charge, at St Mary's Old Rectory and inviting everyone to bring their own food (although burgers and hotdogs will be available on the day to purchase). There will be a Licensed bar but you are welcome to bring your own soft drinks. Entertainment from 11.50am onwards, with crafts, Junch and Judy, sword dancers, magic show, bouncy castle etc.  Come and join us to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. “Closing the Gap”

The RC Hallam Diocesan Committee for Mission & Unity will be holding its Spring event at the Church of the Blessed Trinity, Wickersley, Rotherham on Wednesday 6 June from 7pm-9pm. The economic climate and its effect on the poor of the world, including our own country dominate our lives at the moment so the event will  focus on this and will be headed by an address from Niall Cooper the National Coordinator for Church Action on Poverty who will speak on “Closing the Gap; mobilising churches to narrow the gap between rich and poor locally, nationally and globally”. This will be followed by a celebration of the “Iona  Money Liturgy” which focuses on the responsible handling and use of money.

 

Ecclesfield Open Gardens – St. Mary’s Church

On Saturday 9 June (10am-4 pm) and Sunday 10 June (12pm-5 pm) featuring sixteen gardens of varying sizes, styles and maturity. The Gardens are open on both days and include a wildlife garden and natural pond. Refreshments will be available in the Church Coffee Shop; plants will also be on sale in church. Bradfield Festival of Music

The Bradfield Festival of Music, 23-30 June. Tickets now available.  Performers will include Benjamin Grosvenor (piano), the Meirion Ensemble, the London Soloists Ensemble, Sheffield City Opera, 4 Girls & 4 Harps with Ella Taylor, the RAF Regiment Brass Ensemble, and a Gilbert & Sullivan evening.  Full details at  www.bradfieldfestivalofmusic.co.uk

 

Summer Concert

Sheffield Manor Parish is proud to present a summer concert by the Sheffield Folk Chorale at St Aidan's Church on the corner of Manor Lane and City Road, Sheffield, S2 1UF on Saturday 30 June (7.30pm).
