Diocese prepares for 10 Days of Prayer

Bishop Steven has called on churches across the Diocese to focus particularly on all types of prayer for the ten days in the period between Ascension Day (17 May) and Pentecost (27 May).
New Cathedral Curate to be ordained

Ian Maher will be ordained deacon by Bishop Steven Croft, on Sunday 1 July (10.30am) in Sheffield Cathedral where he will also serve as the Cathedral’s Curate.
Christ is Risen indeed: Creativity and Growth in Easter Services

This Easter saw the churches in Wadworth and Loversall explore creative ways of celebrating Christ’s passion and resurrection. A labyrinth was set up during Holy Week to help worshippers journey through Christ’s passion. At one all-age service, congregants’ hands were anointed with perfume as a sensory meditation on Jesus being anointed for burial.

The re-designed Diocese of Sheffield Resources Centre at Church House, Rotherham is now fully open and operational after being re-opened by the Bishop of Doncaster, Peter Burrows.
