Growing the body of Christ

This is where you can find out more about the Diocese of Sheffield's plans for growth over the next 10 years. By God's grace we want to see many people become Christians and we want to see the whole church grow.
The buttons on this page will take you to other pages where you can find out more about the Deaneries tour, download the 'Growth Booklet' or the full strategy document, read stories from growing churches, access more resources or learn about the Time to Grow Development Day.
I hope that you will discuss the Growth Strategy with others in your church and take some action together.

Back to Church Sunday 2011
Last Updated on Monday, 06 June 2011 15:22

25th September
The new Diocesan Growth Strategy invites us to use Autumn as a season for invitation and outreach. Back to Church Sunday is a major opportunity. Ideally using 25th September or as some have done in the past another nearby Sunday.
Now is a good time to register at www.backtochurch.co.uk
The order lines have now opened for resources. This year they should be ordered by the parish / benefice directly from Traidcraft at
http://www.traidcraftshop.co.uk/c-637-back-to-church-sunday.aspx
One of the things many of us have found has been the difficulty of doing the inviting. We have been offered the chance to hold some seminars across the Diocese with Michael Harvey a Back to Church Sunday consultant.
These will be held on June 23rd at
- The Cathedral in the morning (10-12)
- St James’ Doncaster in the afternoon (2-4)
- St James’, Clifton Rotherham in the evening (7:30-9:30).
There will be no charge but we will be asking for donations to cover costs and pay Michael.
Further invitations will follow but you can register interest with Trish Stafford - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
