Time and Space to Wonder
Godly Play is a project encouraging the development of children's faith and spirituality through story, reflection, creativity and play in church and school. The method used in Godly Play is a very inspiring and quietly revolutionary way of working with children. It was created by Jerome Berryman for primary aged children but has a much wider appeal. There is growing interest across the Diocese and occasional workshops to support those using Godly Play in whatever situation.
Workshops include:
- Introduction to Godly Play - Two hour session to begin to grasp principles behind Godly Play
- Storytellers Workshop - Opportunity to share stories and experiences together.
- Creating Resources - A fun way to gather resources for stories, drawing on others' experiences and at affordable prices
- Understanding Children's Faith and Spirituality - A session to look at principles behind faith development and reflect on the nature of children's spirituality and how it can be nurtured.
