Brief History

In 2001 Parish boundaries and deanery boundaries and Archdeaconry boundaries were digitised and can be overlaid on Ordnance Survey Maps. This was Centrally Organised by the Church Commissioners and the external company Dotted Eyes.

Mapping within the Diocese

Our department is responsible for the maintenance of the above maps, including any changes to these legal boundaries.

This Department offers the facility of providing coloured copy maps within the Diocese of Sheffield. Requests should be put in writing, hand drawn map if available to this department, a charge of £10 is levied for each individual area map (for this £10 you receive five copies of the requested area).
