| Try The Resources Centre! |

The Resources Centre has now been running 14 years and has over 1700 members. The number of visitors, and the quantity and variety of resources available has grown enormously during that period. We have 11000 items available to be borrowed free of charge and range from books and DVDs to puppets and equipment.
Our aim is to provide a ‘full package’. So if for example you are asked to create a family service or a Nativity from scratch we can provide music books and CDs, drama scripts, a talk/sermon, visual aids (puppets, balloons, posters, icons, display materials – eg material, cross, pebbles, shells, feathers etc).
Maybe you have been asked to organise the church fete. We have garden games, display boards, flip charts, playchutes, gazebos, badge makers, microphones with amplification etc.
If you have been asked to lead the Bible study or maybe a Lent/Advent group, intercessions in church, or private study we have hundreds of prayer books and group study materials.
Have you been asked to join the PCC or just started a Diocesan study course? We have lots of the books on your reading list here in Resources.
Are you struggling to find materials for Wedding/ Baptism/ Confirmation preparation? Do you take the Sunday school, youth group or School assemblies? We have hundreds of books, DVDs, Godly Play boxes and boxes of artefacts .
Our biggest challenge is getting new visitors through the door. Once they have been they are amazed at the variety of items we hold. I always liken our job to being in charge of a treasure chest. Between Liz and I we have over 20 years experience and we enjoy helping visitors realize their full potential.
As the Centre is not always staffed it is advisable to ring first if it is your first visit or you may require help.
