GODLY PLAY 3 DAYS OF TRAINING

An important opportunity to experience and develop skills in Godly Play!

The training follows an action / reflection model of learning, based at St Stephen’s, Netherthorpe, Sheffield, which has a fully equipped Godly Play room with the opportunity to see a comprehensive set of resources.

Over 3 days develop your practice and understanding of the Art of Godly Play. Each day explores one of the primary religious genres of Godly Play: Sacred stories, Parables, and Liturgical lessons. There is a mixture of trainer-led presentations in each genre, and participant storytelling presentations.

Workshops also cover:
Setting Up a Godly Play Environment - The Theology of childhood – Your particular concerns and questions

Cost: £50 church based children’s workers.
£150 school based staff.
Please make any cheques payable to SDBF (Sheffield Diocesan Board of Finance)

The training is supported by “Time and Space to Wonder” through a grant from St Christopher’s Educational Trust. If the cost is a problem it is possible to offer further help. Contact Jenny at jennylambourne@sheffield.anglican.org or 01709 309144

Each day will be from 9.30 to 3.00 and include a light lunch and refreshments.
